Does your running mood depend on the weather?

Does the weather ever stop you from running? Grim weather and wet condition isn’t an ideal environment for anyone.

So how do you motivate yourself, when you wake up to a wet weather?

Personally, I look at the weather app to understand what time would be best run. I also select something more upbeat Guided Run. I would work around the “dry” period. Get all crucial work done during pouring weather.

I tell myself: I will be sweating so a bit wet outside is okay too. I hate wet and cold feet but actually once you start running, your feet will warm up the soaking socks. I have also realise Vaporfly Next% upper is very good for letting water dripping out of the shoe. By the end of the run, my Vaporfly is actually dry.

With NRC guided run, it also motivates myself and distract me from all the rainfalls. I listen to the coach and focus on my own goal.

Don’t be afraid of a bad weather. Of course, storm weather isn’t for running so DO NOT run in that condition. You would actually injure yourself but light and medium rainfalls are okay for running.

If you would like to see my result of my run, I will post it in our forum.
